Kyton De Rapper Entertaining revelers during the recent Famile Pulaningi Mu Ndongo Concert in Fort Portal.
Residents of the Tooro kingdom capital thronged in their hundreds braving the heavy rains to attend the family planning concert organized by Public Health Ambassadors Uganda.
The concert dubbed ‘Famile Pulaningi Mu Ndongo’ brought together Tooro’s fire brand in pop and traditional culture that entertained revelers with rap, dancehall, comedy, skits and traditional dances. The entertainers of the night included Tonny Blackman, Easy Linton, Smoky, Kyton De Rapper, Coolman Jimmy and Tuuha drama performers among others.
Ryca dance crew was key in entertaining residents in different suburbs of the town during the mobilization drives as well as unleashing powerful dance performances during the concert. While Tuuha drama performers treated the revelers with an edutainment skit on family planning alongside other cultural dance performances.

There were also notable comics mainly doing impressions of popular political figures from the region like Alex Ruhunda who represents Fort Portal municipality in parliament, Sylvia Rwabwogo the Kabarole district woman Member of Parliament and a vocal opposition local government counsellor called Joram Bintamanya. They also did impressive imitations of Uganda’s famous DJs like Junior, Jingo and Ice P.
The family planning concert in Fort Portal was frustrated by heavy rains that showered revelers throughout the afternoon crossing into the night but never the less they braved it through and managed to stay around enjoying the lineup of performances.
There were also different services that were provided by other partners during the day like family planning by profam, HIV counselling and testing and safe male circumcision by Baylor Uganda and blood donation by Uganda Red Cross.

Famile Pulaningi Mu Ndongo is an event that climaxes the YoSpace project in a given district and the Fort Portal Edition wa s the 5th coming after Jinja, Luwero, Hoima and Masindi. The next is due next week in Bushenyi district.
